  Versatile hike with several changes in terrain and views. The hot spring is really hot where it flows out through rocks - 100°F. After reaching the second pool it cools down a bit. Not a walk with small kids.

  Fun hike! Wouldn't recommend for beginners or children due to length as well as common nudity in hot springs. Every visit of mine I've encountered at least a handful of respectful nude individuals. If you take the more strenuous route down rather than the wash, you'll have to walk through an extremely hot pool to get to the others. It's doable, but highly uncomfortable for a few steps. Also, if you get lost on the shore trying to find the springs, find and follow the signs and guided rock paths up and over the hill.
